No Peace No Quiet mission is to change social bias through public education and by holding Social Media company's accountable for failing to follow their terms of service, community guidelines and misdirected algorithms that amplify and spread misinformation, harassment, hate and violence against survivors of abuse.
No Peace No Quiet's services are used to help promote education and foster allyship for survivors. The misconduct ticketing system is not a replacement for reporting harassment and threats of violence to the proper authorities or taking legal action against the perpetrators, it is an additional tool to be used to combat the challenges survivors face. The data collected helps to support change by bringing awareness to the problem.
In 2021, California introduced bill AB 587 to hold social media companies accountble for their content moderation practices. According to the author of AB 587, Assembly Member Jesse Gabriel, "[it] took nearly two years to pass in the face of fierce opposition from major social media companies. The bill ultimately secured bipartisan support and passed the Legislature after an intense grassroots lobbying effort by more than 80 civil rights and civic organizations.”
In 2022, California passed bill AB 587 into law that holds social media companies accountable to their terms of service. This law requires social media companies to submit a semi annual report to the California Attorney General a Terms of Service Report. By No Peace No Quiet providing an independent report to the California Attorney General’s Office will ensure the voices of victims and survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault and abuse are represented in the fight against social bias.
Bill AB 587 is not about infringing on freedom of speech, it is about the enabling of harassment. Harassment is not protected speech. Social Media Companies that operate in the State of California are subjected to bill AB 587 laws under Business & Professions Code, sections 22675-22681.
Because No Peace No Quiet, Inc., is a California based nonprofit, jurisdiction gives us the ability under these laws to report concerns to the California Attorney General's Office and to meet with California Legislators regarding this matter. It does not matter where the harassing content against victims and survivors was posted or reported from, if the harassing content is provided to No Peace No Quiet, Inc., we can submit the concerns, as a whole, to the governing authorities in the State of California.
If you would like to participate in supporting meaningful change for victims and survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault and abuse, please submit the harmful content you see on social media to the Misconduct Ticketing System.

Censorship of victims and Survivors
Due to societies bias against domestic violence and abuse victims, often the victims and surviors voices are silenced on social media through smear campaign tatics. It is unfortunate but true that societal bias against domestic violence and abuse victims can contribute to the silencing of our voices, even on social media platforms.
There are several reasons why this bias may manifest and impact the experiences of survivors on social media: victim blaming and stigma, misconceptions and stereotypes, online Harassment and victimization, lack of empathy and understanding and amplification of negative voices, like performative activists and perpitartiors posing as victims using DARVO tatics. DARVO statands for Deny, Attack, Reverse, Victim Offener.
It is crucial for society to actively challenge and address biases against victims and survivors of domestic violence and abuse, both online and offline, and work towards a culture of empathy, understanding, and support for survivors. NoPeaceNoQuiet, Inc., has created a reporting system where we can help to support victims voices on social media where end users can report the silencing of victims and surviors' voices on soical media.
Only use our services if it is safe to do so, for more on internet safety see our Data Privacy Policy under Online Safety.

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs

By raising awareness about the prevalence and impact of domestic violence, these programs empower individuals to recognize signs of abuse and access resources for support. Moreover, CSR programs foster a culture of empathy and understanding, breaking down societal stigmas and barriers that often surround discussions of intimate partner violence.
Organizations that prioritize such programs not only demonstrate their commitment to fostering safe and supportive environments but also contribute to the broader movement for gender equality and social justice. By educating employees, customers, and the wider community, they play a vital role in challenging harmful attitudes and behaviors, ultimately creating a more inclusive and compassionate society.
