Every state has different programs available to victims of abuse. Most can offer financial support and pay for your legal, medical, therapy, housing, utility bills and food. Ask your District Attorney’s office or State's Secretary of State's Office for more information on state sponsored programs or you can search for your states programs online by going to the DOJ's website for Office for Victims of Crime (click here)

Support Groups:
- Next Door Solutions, a California based nonprofit, offers virtual support groups that any one can join from any where in the world. (click here)
- MHA recommends support groups follow the support group facilitation guide and are peer lead with facilitators who hold the credential of Certified Peer Specialist. The CPS receives in-depth training on the concepts of recovery, peer support, and how to utilize their own journey of recovery to assist others. Be sure to ask any support group you are thinking of joining if they follow this guide, this will help to weed out any possible scammers.
